Just got a Sony kdl-46w5100. Is extended warranty for 3 years a good idea? Not from best buy but from Sony or squaretrade?
Read the small print very carefully.. if it seems like a good deal and you have so little trust in your purchase you think it's worth the extra outlay then go for it. It's sometimes worth checking ordinary household insurance cover for large items like tv's and washing machines and laptops.. very often that will cover them for failure or accidental damage.. you may already be covered in another sense.. New for old is better than like for like in that respect, and as it covers you for fire flood and break ins too it may be a far better option. strewth.. now I sound like my father in his "insurance salesman" role later in life... graahhhh!
