Extending desktop to watch dvd on tv, quality not best

    To watch dvd's from my laptop to my tv.

    I hook up Tv via scart

    Control Panel<Display<Settings Check "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor

    On WinDVD, i right click in the start menu and in the compatability tag I check Run in 256 colours and Run in 640x480 screen resolution.

    Then when the dvd starts up i drag the program across onto the TV.

    The only problem is when it plays the resolution and colours aren't the best, so subtitles are blurred.

    Any ideas?
