External DVD Burner

    How can I get my external DVD burner to rip and burn DVD instead of cd rom on hard drive. When I finish ripping the DVD the cd rom opens instead of the external dvd burner. Please help!! TY

    What programs you using?

    Sounds like you need to double check the settings.

    Are you selecting that external burner as the Selected backup target?

    All burning programs offer a "drop down" selection for the burners.
