external hard drive power supply

    hi i was just wondering how many volts is a external hard drive power supply usually around , i have an external hard drive but no info at all on the power supply , thanx :)

    The PSU in an external hard drive caseing will step down the power from either 110v (USA) or 240V (UK) to 12v for the Hard disc....
