I currently use my home network as a storage unit and connect to my tv for accessing my movies on the network. I am changing over to macs, because the Mac Mini is ideal for my uses and also, I'm in love with the new MacBook Pro Intel style. My question is if I have files on an external hard drive that has been using Windows XP, can I use that same hard drive on Mac OSX? I think I can read the files for sure, but can I write to the drive as well? This is a big concern. Thanks.

if you have it attached to the network itself it should be fine. i could be wrong. but not if you're hooking it up directly to the mini. it uses a different formatting system.
