First of all, I wasn't sure where to post this thread but this section seemed the most appropriate!

Last year I brought a cheap Western Digital external HDD which had a capacity of 160gb. It's been a year now and wow what a waste of money. Very poor build quality, its in its dying days, so I'm looking for a replacement! This time around however I would like a wireless solution. It got frustrating having to plug in my HDD each time I wanted some music or something, so I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good wireless external HDD? I would like to be able to leave it plugged in pretty much all day without it bursting into flames and if possible access it while I'm not at home. Is such a thing possible?

    Any help would be appreciated!

One option is a NAS drive...and attach it to a wireless router (I think they make wifi NAS drives, but they are extremely expensive)

The only issue might be with finding a good quality NAS for cheap...the better single-drive units run over $100, and a good twin-drive setup can cost over $300...and that is not including the drives that go inside.

You could also get something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822242024 ...but then you still need a USB hard drive to connect to it.
