Hello all, I recently wanted to add an extra HDD to my PC. There are 2 IDE slots on the Mobo and I already have 2 HDDs on one IDE, the other IDE I have a CD burner and a DVD drive. I used a Y-switch for the 3rd HDD and my PC won't even boot up. I tried unhooking DVD drive and attach my 3rd HDD in its place, the PC booted up but everything was extremely slow. I can't even listen to my music without hearing all the static.

So my question is, is there anyway to add this 3rd HDD since my Mobo can only support 2 IDE drives on each of the 2 IDE slots. The 3rd HDD will be a 5th IDE drive.

Get a Promise card. You can connect up to 4 additional hard drives to it.
