extract portions of DVD-R made from 8mm tape

    I have many DVD-R with soccer games captured from digital 8mm video tape. I need to extract small portions of games onto a clean dvd to send to college coaches. I requet advice from experienced users. software?

    Check out the two guides recently posted here.

    One of the guides talks about selecting starting points and ending points in order to edit parts of a movie. May be just what you need to select your clips. I have never tried this to select portions. There may be other methods available as well.
