I have videos purchased from the iTunes store that I'd like to backup onto DVD. Is there any software out there that will allow me to decrypt Apple's DRM protection to do this?
I havn't heard of one mentioned for video's on the site here, but if you search on Google I'm sure some results will come up.
I did search around before posting here but had no luck. Lots of info for decrypting audio files but not video. I did find mention in another forum since then of a program called TUNEBITE that is supposed to be able to convert video but I haven't found any user reviews. Their site is http://www.tunebite.com/website/v2/en/home.php?affiliate=6590f9b253821bf0b7d29f31e4202e5a Anybody have experience with this?
It has a trial version so you could give it a go, but if you are worried about spyware/malware your guess is as good as mine.
Thanks to all who replied. With the fairly low quality of Bitunes extraction I think it would be a lot easier and of similar quality to just run the video through my VCR and tape it. Luckily I don't have much iTunes purchased video (got a gift certificate). In the future I'll just convert my own videos and put them onto the iPod instead of the other way around.
