Ok so my laptops ethernet connection to the internet will not work. Also The wireless will not pickup ANYTHING, it says there is no network connections. There are MANY other programs that will not run and give me errors. i think i have to restore my whole PC. Can viruses stay if i reboot my entire system? it seems like something is wrong with the video card. Whats the problem?
Hey jprice Sounds like terrible problems, but it would be much much easier if you could get this computer to a local tech shop to scan for video card errors, reinstall windows, and reinstall your wireless driver/program. i had once a similar problem with this guys laptop. first i used ccleaner and then installed avg on it. it would wont to run anything. then after reboot it asked me for password but it was not set previously. in second attempt, after using recovery option, i installed only avg. when i scanned and removed all threats in his computer i couldnt run anything. it occurred to me like it was virus/malware problem. so i formatted his hdd. thats was the easiest way. he used norton. it was hopeless situation to begin with.
