I recently burned a DVD and whenever I put it in the player, it seems to take a couple extra seconds to load the disk compared to my old disks I make (I'm using a different program to make the VIDEO_TS/AUSIO_TS folders). I'm then using ImgBurn to burn it. Is there any chance this seek time will damage my DVD/Bluray player? Thanks! EDIT: I thought I'd add that during those two seconds I can hear the eye moving on the "track" or whatever you would call it.
Burned optical discs have different physical properties than pressed DVDs. Sometimes the laser has to work a little harder to focus. In theory, yes, this can add to wear on the laser positioning motors, but this wear should be negligible.
