Something is causing your system to crash. Could be any number of things from minor to serious; from random to consistent. It could be the game or other issues. Hard to tell at this point.

First to my mind is: FEAR is a very resource intense game. Does your system meeet the requirements of the game? Processor speed, RAM, video card, etc. Probably should exceed the requirements. Update your video card drivers. Update your sound card drivers. Turn down the game settings within Options to improve performance.

Beyond that I would shut down other programs running in the background (if any). Defrag the HD. Clean the registry. Do all those maintenance type things you should be doing anyway.

If you do all of the above and you still have problems, try to see if there is a FEAR discussion forum from the game publisher. BTW it is a very good game.

There is a setting in the full version,
(Hopefully it is also in the demo),
That will allow you you to use the dx8 drivers
instead of the cpu intensive dx9 models.

Enabling this feature in the options should fix the problem,
Make sure you turn the effects down also as stated above.
