I recently got hold of this software,but hte problem with it is that i cannot connect to their server to complete my registration! However,i am able to surf the net wo/o problems... Can any one help me with it?Also tell me how does their update system works?? Thanks, Ankur
You ahve made a wise choice in virus protection. The updates will update your program and more importantly your deffinitions for the viruses / spyware. Make sure you do NOT have any firewalls on, includinng XPs, which only blocks incoming. You may also want to do a "search" for your hosts file, sometimes viruses eill change your hosts file, they will associate your loopback address 127.0.0.1 with all the virus removal web sites. When you look at your hosts file there should be only one entry on it for 127.0.0.1 . At the bottom of f-secure there are clickable links for their web site, where I found this a manual DL for the defs http://www.f-secure.com/download-purchase/updates.shtml
if by "got hold of this software" you mean anything other than "purchased the software" its also possible that the reason you cant connect is because you dont have a valid license
