factory settings

    Hi there,
    I am having difficulties restoring my vaio vgn-FW53GF to its factory settings, i have read other forums and i believe that i need to hit f8 when the vaio logo pops up. however I do not have the hidden recovery partition. is it possible for me to restore my vaio to its factory settings without it if so how?
