    Hi,

    First lets start off with this:

    edit out your serial numbers before someone pirates them.

    You are a few versions behind on nero 6. Before installing use this link http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/Clean_Tools.html
    Run the clean tool to completely remove your current version of nero, reboot and use the links below to get the known stable version of nero.

    http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe

    Package 2
    http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

    All of these need to be on..use the following link to turn them on
    http://www.burstcopy.com/dma/xp/

    A little low on memory, recommended is 512mb of ram. You need to turn off all unnecessary applications such as disconnect internet, turn off antivirus/ firewall and any other applications except for nero (in that order).

    when you use the nero cleantool do not re-install incd as it causes problems when trying to burn.

    your burner firmware is a version or two behind go http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_result.php?kaj=1&isces to update to the latest version which is JL04 (7th from the bottom).

    After you have tried the suggested fixes post back and let us know the results.

    I haven't got the advanced settings when Enabling DMA on Windows.

    I followed those steps through the link but I've only got the following tabs in the Primary DMA Channel Properties (General, Driver, Rescources)

    How can I get them enabled???

    Hi,

    Yes download both. One is nero vision express the other is nero burning rom standard package (to sum it up).

    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/355214/2096428 another link from fast frank regarding dma. Also did you hit refresh as I opened the pdf file a minute ago to check. I assume this is anew laptop.

    Acutally here is the quote from fastfrank Try this guide to enable your DMA :
    http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/dvdguide005.html
    If it doesn't work let us know and we can go from there(sorry haven't gotten how to post exact post link yet).

    @King_P

    What i have to say is about your actual memory on your pc,just have a look on your another post which has been closed by now due to multiple posting.You can't reply in the another post but at least you can have access to read what has already been addressed to you.For replies,just do it here,that's the only place you got now!This will save me from writing the same thing again.

    @TY4ever,

    I'm not trying to be a smart-ass but I addressed the memory issue in my first post here. Always good to re-iterate info :).

    @matt72

    Hey!don't worry i'll not call you smart-ass.I feel stupid because i just read and read this thread again and it's now i've seen the stuff you said about the memory ram.My bad,should have looked better but i was quite in a hurry plus your post was quite long(which is a good thing) and my eyes did not fall on that.But glad to see that you've been quicker and has been able to give the guy the advice.
    But really,he needs to upgrade his memory.I myself have a ridiculous 512Mb and it really sucks.But i'm planning to get myself two sticks of 1GB(making it 2Gb in total)this week.

    Vincent.
