    Hi guys,

Recently I've been having some dvd burning problems (well I cant burn a complete job). The process just dies after a short time of writing. Its really strange because this problem has happened in the past intermittently but now I cant complete a write.

I am using Nero OEM version 6.6.1.4 and Sony DVD+Rs (accucore, DVD+R ver. 1.3 (x1-x16) 4.7GB). I have burned successfully with this drive before.

I thought it might be related to the fragmentation of the partition of the main drive because I usually use that partition for torrents. It was 70% fragmented and I successfully de-fragmented it...but still the problem persists...

The Nero log file for one of the jobs:

Furthermore, I checked the DMA status of my recorder and it is confirmed to be 'on'.

I wondered whether it was an application that might be interfering with the burn process. I tried to start to burn in windows safe mode but nero refused to start up.

get rid of this bada$$ mofo useing the roxio zap tool, as it conflicts with nero.

all else looks ok, not sure on accucore dvdr's though may be ok?

    hey thanks rotary

I've done as you suggested but the problem is still persisting...

I was wondering whether it could be some software other that could be interfering with the burn process.

I was thinking of trying to burn in windows safe mode...to see whether the hardware side of things is ok....but I don't know how to burn in safe mode as nero refuses to work in safe mode...sigh..lol
