Chris, can you post a Nero log of your failed burn, it's located here
Nero 6 history log location: Program Files>Ahead>Nero>NeroHistory.txt

    It starts like this

    Windows XP 5.1
    IA32
    WinAspi: -
    ahead WinASPI: File 'C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Core\Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.74, size=164112 bytes, created 11/2/2004 1:54:32 PM

    and ends like this.

    Existing drivers:
    File 'WNASPINT.DLL': Ver=V1.20, size=57344 bytes, created 2/4/2003 8:24:08 AM
    File 'Drivers\PXHELP20.SYS': Ver=2.03.32a, size=20640 bytes, created 11/17/2005 12:19:28 PM (Prassi/Veritas driver for win 2K)

    Registry Keys:
    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WinLogon\AllocateCDROMs : 0 (Security Option)

[bold]Please only post your LAST log which will actually be the top log in that location[/bold]

I cant help you with the answer you seek, I did read this however as a reply to a similar post in another forum, it appears that it is quite common with Nvidia

I also read you should try a different brand of media, I notice you are using Ritek, DVD-RW, have you always used this medium

&it says dma ultra 33 or something is ticked so i dont see how dma can be off.
