Hello all, have a strange issue that has been going on for about a week or so. Not sure if this issue should go in the DVD Shrink or Clone DVD2 sections but seems to be burner related so.... Have a NEC ND 3540A, When attempting to burn the ISO's to the dvd. I receive Burn errors in Shrink and Clone DVD2 seems to burn (goes thru the complete process) but it actually didnt. So I try the proccess again and when I reinsert the blank dvd I get another message that tells me to insert a blank DVD. ok that is when the red flag came up. I insert another blank media and get same result. So I might have answered my own question, but you all think it the drive that is bad or media? I have swapped from using DVD +R to DVD -R. Any help or suggestions would be grand.
What media do you use? What make... Also this is the latest firmware for your drive... do you have it? http://liggydee.cdfreaks.com/page/3540/ -- you want the [bold]original[/bold] firmware that is [bold]2nd from top[/bold] of the list. Get back to me
Ah ok so firmware is fine and great media Try going to hardware manager and uninstalling your drive, then reboot and windows will auot install your drive as "new hardware" and then try. Get back to me.
Hmm i am sorry then - i don't rly know what else it could be... Sorry for not being able to "help" you further, but will watch the thread and pop back with any info i can rovide.
Thats alright. Thanks for the input. I am however just going to purchase a new drive. They pretty cheap.
