As a newbie, it would be greatly appreciated for some assistance in burning DVDs. I tried to copy the movie "You Got Served" on my hard drive through DVD Srink 3.2 but after encoding 48% of disk, I rec'd an error message.

DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
    Failed to read file "D:\"
    Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

Does this mean the disk can never be copied? Should I be using a different software that will be able to read the file?

Try ripping with DVDDecrypter to your hardrive and then using DVDShrink, this may be a movie that Shrink cannot handle. If you get the CRC error using DVDDecrypter try cleaning the disk, or take it back and get another original. Here is guide that will help
