Failure report everytime I burn more than one AVI / Mpeg file to DVD-R

    I am trying to burn 5 avi files and 1 mpeg all about 350meg each to a Bulpaq 8xspeed DVD-R using Nero 6.

    As I want to be add more avi files at a later date, I have selected the option to leave the multisession option.

    I don't need the files to play on a independent DVD player - just want to back-up to DVD so I can free space on my hard drive.

    After about 2% the process freezes and the disk fails.

    Has anyone got any suggestions?

    Have you tried to burn them one at a time, since you are using multisession? I know it's kind of a pain, but it's worth a shot.
