It's ASCII code, nfo's are done in that (NFO's contain information about a release and the group that released it). Its all jumbled because of the lack of width it has on the thread but when all together perfectly on the nfo it spells FairLight

re: the 'weird symbols' these usually are arranged in a nice pattern through the nfo file (though usually at the start is a pic or word that can be seen with wordwrap in notepad). The nfo are read in notepad otherwise the .nfo extension opens up system properties. it's something i've seen in one form or another since the late 80's in files from different sources if your into pc's you can't have missed seeing one of these?
