Iv noticed on a couple of sites that they are now making members answer a couple of simple questions before they can sign up with the answers being in the FAQ's or are generaly easy to find. Just thinking if AD introduced somthing similiar might reduce the 'how do i copy games'posts.Im not claiming to be an expert and probably posted some really simple questions meself when i first joined but if i was 'forced' to read some FAQ's before signing up i might not have. Just an idea
i guess this happens a lot cus these forums are probably more 'mainstream' and accessible to allsorts than the usual work-related (Unix) forums i frequent. I do see some noob type posts on Unix forums, but not the same amount as i do on pc-related forums. I guess it's cus any tom, dick or harry can hop on a pc and have problems as opposed to big servers. Hope that makes sense and is no way meaning to sound condescending to anyone who might read this, i'm not an expert at wording what i think on screen
