Fastest socket 775 CPU?

    Need a new one for gaming, I'm pretty sure my Penitum D 3.46Ghz is bottlenecking my system.

    What's the best out there? I've got an ASUS P5QL mobo.

    Intel Xeon, i7, Core2 Extreme? whats models?

    Is that the P5QL PRO? That board should run this CPU:
    Intel Core 2 Quad 3.0GHZ (Q9650)

    The P5QL Pro will run the Q9650, but I would advise against overclocking it as that board has weak power regulation.
