fastest way to burn dvd and burn

    I know how to burn avi to dvd but I was wondering if there was a filetype that I can download and burn straight to dvdr and have it play in my dvd player without having to wait 6-9hrs on avi to convert to mpeg2 or what ever it is.....does this file exist or will I always have to wait.....

    You will always have to wait I'm afraid while your AVI is converted to mpeg2. A faster computer will reduce your waiting time though.

    what apps were you useing? some apps go quicker than others we may be able to trim it down abit?
