    Hello,

My PVR setup uses a external Hard Drive. What is the best way to format this drive as Fat32? WinXP only gives me the ntfs option. Any help would be awesome, thanks.

You are aware that NTFS is more efficient and more important, you will be limited as to file size that you can write to this drive.
The maximum size of any one file on a FAT 32 drive is 4GB - which is a severe limit for captured files.

I have used this on USB sticks.

click 'Start' > 'Run' , type cmd
On the DOS screen type: format e: /FS:FAT32

'e' was my drive letter, you insert the letter of the external drive.

hmmm.. I thought that my PVR would only read drives formatted in Fat32. I'll have to check into this...

    Thanks for the post
