In a recent thread IHoe said he was going to sticky paste a thread. I didn't understand what he meant (I thought it was an option that AD had that I was unaware of) and he said he bookmarks threads in Favorites so he has that referenced to go back to. That got me thinking of times that I have viewed threads with real good advice or threads with linked guides added to it that I would like to pass onto other members. I then find myself trying to search through multiple threads trying to find the thread. Could there be an option made for members to be able to click and bookmark threads they would like to keep for future references? That way we can have a list of threads that we think are important and worth bookmarking so we do not have to sort through multiple threads looking for that 1 thread that had great advice in it. I do realize I could use IE/Firefox to do this but I often format my HDD and forget to export the bookmarks or maybe your HDD crashes and you lose your bookmarks. If there was an option on the site to bookmark threads then you would not lose them if something happened to your bookmarks off your browser.
Guess no one likes or dislikes my idea LOL Either that or this is the part of the forum that is like a junk closet. You throw the thread here to be discovered years down the road when you clean out your closet.
teleported to the 'better' suggestions forum.. if you mean normal stickies in the forums there are too many stickies around already. Though what i do is keep any links i want to keep bookmarked, in the links page in my shoutbox profile..
Thanks for teleporting it to the better suggestions forum. I didn't notice I posted it in the MP3 suggestion forum. No I do not mean normal stickies at the top of the forums. What I was saying is add a bookmark button somewhere on the thread (Top/Bottom) that you can press that will bookmark the page for you to go to for future reference. Then have a list of your bookmarked threads under My Account that list the threads. Just like the list you have for subscribed threads but a list of threads that you have bookmarked that seem important or have good advice you would like to keep to pass on to other members if need be. I know it is easy to bookmark with your browser but a little list of reasons it would be helpful to have the bookmarks on the site is... You format your HDD and forget to export the bookmarks You have a hard drive failure and lose them Your at work or school and do not have access to your bookmarks at home.(Allot of members use the site at work or school)
Yeah I get what you mean I like you idea because some forum pages have a ton of posters on them and before I know it the page Im looking for is on the 3rd page. Like it's king of like a stickie but just for your self right? But when I find myself saying that I remember that there is a part in the "my acount" sction were it has a list of all the post you posted!
