Sunday afternoon and bored, and thought why not start a new thread for those gadget freaks out there.

    What is ur best/newest gadget?
You can plug it all u want!

My most recent gadget is a philips pronto 940U remote control.

I think its great, got ALL my aplliances hooked up to it, including my 300 cd changer and album selection.
    Any body else got one?

Turns everything on with one press, just looking at getting a remote controlled woman now SO I CAN REALLY KICK BACK......._X_X_X_X_X_[small]I never did mind about the little things[/small]

Theres lotsa high tech things out there, but the best gadgets are the ones you can puts with for hours and never get sick of, like a laser pointer, could anyone ever get sick of pissing off the family pet with one of those?

Just purchased a standalone dvd recorder, the low ended philips 880.

The video has now entered the past tense, this baby rocks.

I was a little dubious at first cos I wondered if it played my backups - well excellent, all ok.

Video plus, one hit copy, put anything from 60mins to 240mins on a +r/+rw

Also wondered if the +r produced would play on my other standalones - full compatibility with a LG3200e and Cyberhome 402.

Anyone heard of any potential flaws with this baby, firmware upgrades or media issues etc.

Got them to chuck in 10 +rw with it aswell.

I just got myself a Bit Char-G (micro radio controlled car)

Almost too much fun for $20 :-D

Scares pets (although I would never do, or advocate that kind of behaviour) and is capable of amazing speeds and modifications (like 40,000RPM motor for a 6cm car lol!)

    Paul.

HP 5450 PDA (400MHz, Bluetooth, WiFi, IrDA, 64MB RAM, 24MB flash RAM) + Kingston 5GB PCMCIA HDD + 128MB SD memory + some other goodies for the PDA.

Nice toy, works unbelievably together with Nokia 3650 over Bluetooth to connect to Net via GPRS and at home I have 802.11b/g network, so geeking at garden is reality already at 11MBps ;-)_X_X_X_X_X_[small]Petteri Pyyny
