FFDshow playback too fast

    I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling all sorts of codec packs and resetting all my settings to default, but I keep having the same problem. My movies are playing too fast. I think they're encoded at 23.976fps, but the decoder seems to think they're 29.97fps. Is there some easy way to fix this that I'm missing?

    Well I finally gave up on fiddling with the damn codecs... VLC works great, shoulda just gone with that in the first place. Thanks!
