FFXI question

    Ok, ive been wondering this for a while, I got my xbox360 a few months ago and I was thinking of getting FFXI 2008 edition, The question I wanted to ask is, If I have gold membership with live do I have to pay monthly service fees, I know you can play with Silver while paying the fees but I need to know about gold
