I recently backed up Fifa 2005 onto a Datarite DVD+r disc and i boot the game up and everything is working fine, but when i click create player it freezes and stays on the same screen and dosent continue, could somebody please help?

btw I used Magic Iso to extract the iso onto my harddrive then i burn it onto the dvd+r using DVD decrypter

    I don't think it's the media. I am using Taiyo Yuden DVD-R (4x) using DVDD read/write @ 4x and read/write @ 1x and I have the same problem.

    (See my post http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/183197)

I haven't really focused on the problem since it's a feature I never use, but it does exist. Maybe rebuilding the game? I don't know.

i had no prob just maybe a bit of loading time on some menus i burnt to verbatim at 2x and maybe your right about rebuilding as i think i rebuilt the game due to it being a large iso

Ok, I seemed to have found the problem. I went ahead and rebuilt it using DVD Decrypter, ISObuster, and Nero. After rebuilding, the file went from 4+ GB to 2.39 gb.

I loaded it up and "Create Player" was accessible.

    1. Read @ 4x using DVDD
    2. Extract files using Isobuster
    3. Burn using Nero UDF/ISO method @ 4x

    Hope it helps.
