help please - from Gwen?? I posted before about AVI files suddenly increasing in size when one is moving things around on Vision Express. I followed your recent advice, uninstalled, cleaned up, re -installed back to ver 7 0 8 2 and it is still happening. I tried to work on a 1.2GB .avi film file from the net - which plays OK on my screen - and Nero just jumped to 4.8GB and I just can't see how to get round it. I have just now tried a) restarting computer then b) moving the file to another hard drive and then renaming it - it still is unworkably large in Nero. This file is obviously a rip back to SVCD standard from a .mpg DVD - timing is 2h 09 mins - could this be a reason? Brian
An avi is a compressed file when you convert it to a DVD Video compliant file it will baloon in size there is nothing you can do about it. That is the original size of the file before being compressed to avi.
