help please - from Gwen?? I posted before about AVI files suddenly increasing in size when one is moving things around on Vision Express.
I followed your recent advice, uninstalled, cleaned up, re -installed back to ver 7 0 8 2 and it is still happening.
I tried to work on a 1.2GB .avi film file from the net - which plays OK on my screen - and Nero just jumped to 4.8GB and I just can't see how to get round it.
I have just now tried a) restarting computer then b) moving the file to another hard drive and then renaming it - it still is unworkably large in Nero. This file is obviously a rip back to SVCD standard from a .mpg DVD - timing is 2h 09 mins - could this be a reason? Brian

An avi is a compressed file when you convert it to a DVD Video compliant file it will baloon in size there is nothing you can do about it. That is the original size of the file before being compressed to avi.

thanx for that, Arnie! Ignorant fellow that I am. It is just that it doesn't seem to do it for the other avi files. Much obliged for the help and advice Brian
