Using Nero Start Smart/Nero 7 Premium.... I can only get as far as finally making the slide show (with music in the background)and 56 photos but when I get to the part to burn to CD (to play on a DVD so as to be viewed on TV screen)the complete thing freezes....when using this. I tried on Nero vision and it says the files (all of them ) are the wrong extension. I have the complete slide show saved but it is an EXE extension. Have no idea what the extensions should be ( a newbie to this sort of stuff)and how to perhaps change it. It doesn't make any difference if I simply put the thing together with the mp3 music saved on my HDD and the photos which are saved as .jpg files....or try to use the exe file. I have win98Se and a new power box...stronger than I had before. IE6 and dialup. This is supposed to be for Xmas....sure hoping it can be done. If I need another application it will have to be freeware. I have spent maybe 3 weeks trying to do this. I am using CDRW as I have this burner ...cannot do DVD. I have tried numerous programs for burning and for making slide shows and cannot seem to get anywhere... This is gonna be my last try I think ...otherwise I will just have to give it up as a bad joke.
Have you downloaded the manuals from nero and looked in the one for nero vision. It gives you step by step for what you are attempting. It is under contents then creating your first slideshow.
I have got the manuals....still cannot figure out why the file extensions are wrong and why the whole thing freezes when attempting to burn. If I am able to go through the steps as written and able to make a slideshow I would have thought the file extensions would be fine. Thanks whompus...
I guess I dont understand totaly what you are attempting. I can not get an exe file from making a slideshow in nero. Thats where the extension would be wrong. Are you saying that you make the slideshow in nero and if you save the project it is an exe? The saved project should be a nrg image and the image should be of a video cd, super-video cd, or dvd-video. In your case it should be video cd or super-video cd.
