a img file is an IMAGE file. You can burn it with Nero. or whatever burning program you have. Just choose to burn Image in the burrning program.

You alos could download ISObuster and see what is in the image file before burrning it.

Hmm, wonder if anybody could help me too?
I'm also trying to burn a *.img file, burn when I try to burn it with nero (burn image), I can only select *.iso *.nrg and *.cue
not *.img. What program should I use?
    Hope somebody can help.

    Thx

Never had to myself, but I'm told that renaming the file from .img to .iso enables Nero to recognize it.

Also when you go to open the file in Nero you can pull the menu type option arrow down and select it to list all files instead of suported files. Once you do that choose the .IMG file and nero will load it up (recognize it) even tho it dosent list it as a suported file.
