File sharing is fubar only internet works and I am tried of trying to get files to sync, so what can I do short of a subscription ala gotomypc?

I'll give it a look through but my main problem is it has to use its own protocol as Windows network file sharing dose not work at all. Looking at doing it via FTP but not really found anything yet.
Dose anyone know what kind of setup Dlinks shareport uses? It works fine 0-o Tho if I use that I lose my 32GB flash drive since I will need it in the router all the time.....
