Can someone tell me why one avi file that is 700mb ends up being 750mb after converting it and another 700mg avi file ends up being 3.0gb+. I.ve searched the forum and can't find the answer. The smaller of the two after conversion is:

    Length: 134 Minutes
    Video: XviD
    AVG Bitrate: 1284 kb/s
    Resolution: 624 x 256
    Framerate: 23.976 FPS
    Audio: AC3 192 kb/s

And the larger of the two after conversion is:

    Video Codec.: XViD
    Runtime.......: 99 min
    Video Format: 2Pass 832kbits/s
    Audio Codec.: MPEG1 AudioLayer3
    Audio Format: 134kbps VBR,48kHz
    Aspect Ratio: 1.85:1
    Frame Size..: 640x352

    Thanks!!

In TMPGEnc, if thats what you are using click advanced and tick the box beside source range. Double click source range and when the new box comes up, click "move to start frame" and click "set start frame", click "move to end frame" and click "set end frame". Then click ok and try again!!
