I have a video file that when I right click and look at the properties of says 701MB.. When I go to put this file on a DVD+R it says that it is too large and has to reduce the quality to (LONG PLAY) Ive seen the file under long play, and the quality is really bad.. How come the file size increases? and (Using Nero) How can I fit this file on a DVD disc with and maintain good quality?

    Thanks...
    Nate

The file you have is probably AVI or MPEG which are compressed files, a normal movie is around 700mb in AVI format which will fit comfortably onto a standard DVD5 without affecting the quality. If it's a movie you downloaded then it's probably poor quality to begin with.
