I Re-installed XP office, but now my slave drive which I use to store my data showing file system "RAW", and if I try to open it I get the message "drive is not formatted" is there anyway I can convert the file system back to NTFS, or acess to my data in the drive...PLEASE HELP.
you can try doing a drive conversion go to start>run and type command. when you get the black command screen come up type convert x: /fs:ntfs (replace x with your drive letter) im not sure if this will actually work since a drive only usually shows up as RAW when the partitions on it have been deleted let me know how you get on
A drive will report data as RAW when it's file system data structures have suffered serious corruption or overwriting . There are some program that will recover but they cost money ! Stellar Phoenix is such a program If the data you lost is not too important to you -- best you do like a .. Wipe and Format fresh start!
in that case youve already lost everything on that hard drive as the file system has been deleted. sorry
