i have several divx movies that i convert onto dvd r's using windows movie maker for viewing on my dvd player but some of them do not fit i.e after conversion they are 4.9gb etc. can anyone please tell me if it is possible to use a program to make the large movies fit on one disc or split them to two discs. the movies are just one file. thanks in advance..

You need to set the Bitrate to encode to fit a DVD, not familiar with Movie Maker but DVD Flick is free and will do it either automatically or to a Bitrate you set, it seem's to have both options: http://beginwithsoftware.com/videoguides/dvd-flick-guide.html Hear good thing's about it. Edit: ConvertXtoDVD is excellent payware; has simple menu's and easy to use but the trial will put a watermark in your video.

DVD Flick is an excellent choice, as mistycat stated. There is also AVStoDVD, which is also free and works well.
