I'm trying to convert a ton of episodes of Seinfeld that are in various formats and sizes all to a Divx Avi, 320x240, at 780 kbps. When I converted the first episode, I got a 300 MB file out of a 170 MB file, even though the other one had a higher resolution. I checked the properties and the audio bitrate was around 1500 kbps. How can I change this to something like 128 kbps?

I have never used rad tools so sorry this is not directly answering your question but can i suggest using AutoGK. It is very easy to use you can pick any resolution you want (320x240 in your case) the sound quality (128kb/s) and choose between XviD or DivX and it lets you choose the size you want and usually gets it very close.
    You can get it here
