Everytime I start my pc, I get a baloon prompt telling me "You have files waiting to be written to the CD". The problem is, I don't!! I deleted them but for some reason it still thinks they are there.

    It's driving me nuts!!!

I have disabled the CD writing capability under the drive properties and this has fixed the problem. However, I know when I re-enable it it will come back.

    Any suggestions?

if it disturbs you that much. i suggest you you disable window ballon messages.

    1. Start
    2. Run
    3. regedit
    4. Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\Advanced
    5. Modify or Create "EnableBalloonTips"
    6. Set the value to 0
7.To reverse this change, set the value to 1

    This will definately work!!
The prob you are having with the Popup Baloon is fixed by doing the following.

First get a Program called ERASER free version.Download it and Install.
Just be carefull when using it as once you say YES to a deletion its gone for good!!

    Now go to your Start
    Search
In the search box type *.Tmp Search for all these files.

Select all files when you have the list
Right click and select ERASER then hit OK
This will erase all Tmp Files.
Restart Computer and BINGO!! All is fixed.
