Final Fantasy 7 Remake?

FF4 and 6 had deeper charatcers 7s were slightly simplistic on and off the battle filed, even 9 has a better setup but the story is lacking in places.

 

This made me laugh - how can the phrase 'PC' (which is just short for personal computer) belong to Microsoft? After all a Mac is technically a PC.

 

And how much of the market dose mac have?
MS is PC at least the mainstream PC.

As for S/E making games for PC or the 360 the mightly mighty bottom line will decide that, the PS3 has sold 3 or 4 million units in the last few months pushing it to almost 9M yes MS still have about twice as many units out but 30% of them are junk most litarly, with the PS3 climbing they don't have to go multi console and no publisher will take it to the PC them selfs and s/e is not interested in porting stuff to the PC they have enough trouble with not remaking the game with each revision (still pissed about the zodiac class system in the JP/Int version of FF12)

 

I think your a jerk remaking 7 would be the best thing for ps3 and ff
a true ff member would be thankful to play ff7 in HD they are going to have new ones but nothing would beat the originals in HD.

lol there are now 40k people who signed it and still no remake the only way the would agree to it is if millions would sign it and if we want that the game would have to be released all around the world and to tell u the i don't really think it would be such a good idea...what the point of takingaps1 game and making the graphics as good as a ps3 game ? ff7 is a classic and it should be left alone...they already ruined its rep by making the ff7 vincents story which i beat in like a day and it sucked :S

 

sorry to hear... but i can believe you. i never liked vincent much anyway.

but the attraction to FF7 is all the theories and junk that you can come up with and whatever. makes for good conversation too.

i would only assume that it's safe to say that FF7 remake is not coming to PS3. some people say, let the classic stay on a classic system. if they would make it playable from the PS3 hdd, i'll be happy with that.

 

I would still give ti a 50/50, but frankly S&E have much more fodder to cashin on, I liekd vincent thought he was cool,but the game is cheap on many levels and we will only see all their games fall to that level sooner more than later...of coarse if one of the new FF games do not suck in some glaring way I'l eat my tinfoil hat

just saw the update to Final Fantasy IV, so now it does give hope for seeing FF VII on PS3. why bother to do remakes of the older games on DS if you're not gonna listen to fans with one game that we actually liked. well again, hope for the future after seeing that.

 

Not played the DS version fo 4 yet still trying to find a from since I work a nearly full functional DS emluator, but one thing that cannot be ignored abotu modern game design is the lack of "fun" details they put in stuff,compare FF12 to any FF pre X and you can see that clinging to designs/balances no matter how bland is something game companies do well with now adays....forget fun nuances like in most of the FF titles.

 

it will 100% happen in the future,of course sony know just how big the remake will be i really cant think of anything right now that would beat a ps3ffvii remake so huuge,square enix fully used all ps2 hardware power to fullest with their last ps2 game ffxii and they are used to sony software which will also make ffxiii good but in future after ffxiii squareenix will be real familier with ps3 software that the ffvii remake graphics evrything will be pushed to the ps3 limit,i reckon just like ffxii coming out at the end of ps2 days but at the start of the ps3 so it might come at the end of the ps3 day but start of on ps4 and all that time they defo need to make the ffvii use all ps3 power and itll be huge as in levels bosses etc

 

meh they can afford to do it at any time after they release the the half FF games they are planning to launch soon

gaa FF12 is a joke tho broken skill system,bland equipment make combat a drag, the story is ok but good lord its more mindless SP MMO than anything else.


I don't hold much hope for the new FF "half" games they are launching for the PS3....

 

Yeah I hear ya, XII was a giant miss with me. Played for roughly 5 hours and quit. I recently started playing X again, never gave it a fair chance the first time around. I am about 50 hours in and am having a blast, sad that XII was such a departure.

As far as the future of FF's, they will all fall short to me. Since when was Final Fantasy....Future Fantasy? XIII looks waaaaay over the top, I would really love a throwback to the roots, ala IV or VI, or even IX! Add some purty graphics to apease all the whiners that think graphics mean everything, and there you go. Another Squenix hit!

As far as TRUE remakes go, not just same game with a new dungeon, I would love to see VI before VII. VI with updated graphics and voice acting would be beyond awesome. Oh yeah, and git rid of Umaro....hated that beast.

 

No dcking with the content please add all you want but make sure its an option... the wild arms remake is missing sht becuse of the whole lets re do this instead of add it spew..


I dunno the only thing I liked about X was the gem board system and the to late to be great weapon customize thing the rest of it was pretty much a loss, FF12 has better level design character and story..only the combat wants to make you pull your teeth out because its either boring or visual noise.....

Can't wait till Fallout3 comes out so I can trash talk abotu it, BIoshock is bad enough as far as mainstreamized watered down gaming goes but FO3 is gunning for the cake no groin hits no tactical combat just a FPS RPG with a slow mode.


altho...I am so torn because I am a rabbied(as in I need shots) FPS RPG fan.....BS just comes up as barely above average in a industry that thinks 7 is the new average....

 

XII had a better story then X? Come one now Zippy, I expect so much more from you! Granted XII was not as cliche as X, but the story was so far and few apart in XII it almost seemed non existent. I did not give a flying fark about any of the characters in XII; whereas in X I felt a connection to Yuna and even the whiny Tidus. Lulu had certain appendages that grew on me too

And I know this will start a war, but it is ok. VII IS ONLY AN ABOVE AVERAGE RPG!!! Can you really say that VII would still be so popular if it was released 3 years later then when it did? It hit the ps1 at the most opportune time....crap like Beyond the Beyond made it seem even better then it really was. Don't get me wrong, I love the game...but to label it the best FF is insane. Most FF veteran's will say the same.

Character development was ok, sadly the only way to fully understand the story is too get to know the compilation on VII. I have seen it/played it all besides Last Order. It should not take that much to understand that Cloud was injected with cells and is a loony freak.

Materia system = bleh. No unqiue skills beyong limit breaks, nothing to see here. Max materia, learn to link, game over. I raped that system, killing the Weapon's with only a few button pushes is dumb. Yeah I had to grind like crazy to get to that point, but it still shouldn't be so automated.

And I have no respect for Cloud now, Zack's role in Crisis Core crushed my previously formed perception of Cloud. Zack > Cloud in my opinion.

As far as FO3 and Mass Effect, I have nothing to say. Not my type of game. Couldnt comment regardless really, Lost Odyssey killed my 360 :/
