Hey, I was just wondering, I am going to buy Final Fantasy XI for the PC soon. I know, wrong category, but I couldnt find a PC games category...SO, what Im so confused about is that, I've searched around and I dont understand Final Fantasy XI. I know it is online and that I have to play, but how many versions are there? There are so many extensions and crap - Vana'Diel, Rise of the Zilart, Chains of Promathie, Treasures of Aht Urhgan..I mean what are all of these? Are these like seperate versions of the game, ie once you've beat Rise of Zilart do you then go to Chains of Promathia or what? I dont understand. Are there any expansion packs I need to buy. It is so hard to understand, why cant they just have one disc that says Final Fantasy XI!!! What is the MAIN game for FFXI? THE MAIN ONE? WHat other are expansion packs? WHat order should I play them in to follow the story? -.-' SO MUCH EASIER! Anyways, I am posting to ask if someone can please explain the whole lot to me - as I am lost. And the more I search Wikipedia and other sites for answers, the more I get confused. SOmeone please help - PLEASE explain =( thanks!!! I don't know anything about this myself, BUT i found this, hope it helps http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/intro/extension.html?pageID=extension i guess you would want to buy all of the expansions and then play 'cos it allows you to start with a expansion character, and the expansion characters might be in some ways more interesting than the old ones. and btw, there seems to be a new expansion pack coming. i hope they are not that expensive :/
