finalizing DVD Canon IVIS DC200

    my camcorder is of Canon.after finishing recording when i go to options,the FINALIZE option is not available sometimes.Is there any kind of software, by which i can finalize the recorded dvd through my dvd ROM.

    AFAIK it has to be finalized in the recorder.
    Is this one of those functions that has to be done while the cam is connected to an AC power supply?
