Hey would anyone know of a peice of software where you can just scan a find a word, imput the word bank and then it would try to recognize the characters in the find a word that were scanned and just find the words for you? so much easier! lulz!
I think this is what you're asking for. It's called Wordsearch Solver. http://www.download.com/Wordsearch-Solver/3000-2130_4-10111237.html Here's an online program that's suppose to do the same thing. http://warp.byu.edu/cgi-bin/wordsearch.py
thanks for ya help but i was looking for something that, well where i could scan the find a word, open the image with the cheat tool finder thing, and it would attempt to reconize the characters on the scanned image and all i have to do is enter the words i want it to find thanks anyway mate
That's much more difficult to create, because once the paper is scanned, it becomes an image. A text file obviously has many separate characters, but an image is simply one big character. To be able to search for text within an image isn't nearly as easy to program. With that being said, if you have a good scanner and the proper software (OCR capable), you can scan the wordsearch as a text file and then use the software listed earlier to find the words. Other than that, I'm not aware of any software that will search for words within an image.
