Finished burning, yet doesnt read ???

    i bought some philips dvd+r 1-8x 4.7gb

    and i been useing dvd shrink and dvd decrypter all along... n w/ the philips dvds they are not reading either on my ps2 or on my dvd player...

    but decrypter says that burn went successfully



    what can i do to fix the problem that the dvd player read teh media ?

    The Philips media can be acceptable or crappy depending on which manufacturer made it.

    The three common causes for burns not being readable in standalones, etc. are:

    Using poor quality media.
    Burning too fast.
    Firmware not up to date.

    Good quality media is that made by Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, and made in Japan labeled Fuji and Sony disks.

    A good rule of thumb is to limit the burn speed to 1/2 or less of the rated speed of the media.

    ^^ Everything he said is correct.

    Personally, I would dump those discs and get some new quality media.
