look in settings or see if web search has others wanting to know how to disable or just dump fox for vivaldi (from the original team that created the old opera)
https://www.ghacks.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/mute-tab.png See the audio icon on the upper right? That is what I 'm talking about. Trying to see if it can be disabled. I do not how much more specific I can be!!!
https://winaero.com/blog/tab-muting-feature-and-sound-indicator-come-to-firefox/ It is called, FIREFOX tab audio indicators
On this system , I'm using an older version of FF, but the only time I get the speaker icon on a tab is when I'm actually playing something with sound. For instance, I went to Keanu shredding and only got the speaker icon on the tab when I started playing one of the videos there. It doesn't show up on any of the other tabs. I noticed in your screenshot, none of the other tabs have the icon.
It only shows up when a tab is playing audio. It allows you to mute the audio is you so desire. in your URL field copy this "about:config" without quotes. Click proceed with caution, and then when at the top click show all. Then in the search field type audio. You will see this "browser.tabs.showAudioPlayingIcon," at the right you will see either false or true. Click it to turn it to false. If that doesn't work you can always go nuclear and delete the entire line. On the far right is a toggle icon and when you see the little trash can just click. Please note that only Afterdawn is responsible if anything goes wrong.
I for one don't mind it and I even like using it to mute audio. I'm going to guess that it annoys you because the speaker icon is too close to the close tab icon, and when in a hurry you find yourself closing tabs that you would prefer to leave open? I overcame that as an issue by using Ctrl+M to switch mute on and off.
