Ok, I've been using firefox for a few years now but after installing freenet to see what it was, it stopped working. I uninstalled freenet and thats when the problem began occuring. Firefox kept giving me an error saying that "Firefox is currently running and that I must close the old one and or reboot the system." There are no firefox's running in the list of Process and I cant find out what to do. An uninstall and reinstall of firefox didnt help either.
i had this problem not to long ago. when i uninstalled and reinstalled that didnt fix it. what i had to do was when uninstalling when it asked do you want to keeps personal data. choose no. then after you finish try installing it again.
