    How can I get windows XP to load the driver for firewire IEEE 1394A card?

    Ya don't. Window's XP should be able to use it's own set of built-in Drivers for the IEEE1394a (i.e. FireWire400),. If your still having problems, check and make sure that your FireWire400 (i.e. IEEE1394 Connection), is setup and fully running in your Network Connections Applet. On the Control Panel...
