Firmware 2.81+ (Help)

Okay so curently my PSP Fat is running 2.81 Firmware, and I was wondering how can I upgrade it to like 3.50+

Which update would I get?

 

do you want official firmware or custom firmware on your psp?

Well I want frimware to play all the new games, but I dont want to use a pandoras battery. Anyway I can do that?

Well is it possible to update from 2.81 to like 3.50+ w/o using a pandora battery

Put the Eboot.pbp into a UPDATE folder. Then copy the UPDATE folder into ur GAME folder. Start the update

 

I did this and when I go to my mm card it says corrupted data?

 

Then you didn't put it right. Create a new folder and name it "UPDATE" just the way I wrote it. Then extract the EBOOT.PBP from the rar file into the "UPDATE" folder and then put it in your memory stick PSP/GAME then run it from PSP.

 

yah i got it thx, if i have 3.50 or 4.01 offical firmware could i still play downloaded games? or would I have to get like cfm 3.71 m33?

 

yep you need cfw to play iso/cso games

if your on 3.50 then you can use a downgraderr to get to 1.50 which you can then run the cfw update to get cfw

if you are still on 2.81 then you can use the 2.81 downgradre as the 3.50 requires a game to downgrade

ok thx, 1 last question though. if i was to get CFW do i need a datel tool and pandoras battery?
