Firmware 5.55 & 6.00 Games Decrypter for new games

I updated my firmware from 5.50 gen-A to 5.50 gen-B and then tried to update it to 5.50 gen-B2 and it said it was "done with success". But when i got into system settings and system information, it says my cfw is 5.50 gen-B (full). Does this mean its 5.50 gen-B2? or is it still 5.50 gen-B?

 

this method is if you have the original UMD?

 

skip the part where you have to get the ISO of the UMD, and follow the rest

 

after running the patching software where did you get the Eboot file to add to game file through UMD GEN ??

 

holy rainin balls this was almost as easy as making a PB+J sandwich lol. After i dl umdgen i figuredit out, and plus i opened all my iso's and saved them as cso's ;D easy shit

 

in UMDGen on the left window expand the "PSP_GAME" and dbl click "SYSDIR" then right click "EBOOT.BIN" click extract selected,save it 2 ur desktop(minmize UMDGen) then drag it 2ur psp's mem stick form the desktop to the<ROOT> unplug usb then run decrypter in psp game then after its done plug in usb and go 2the <ROOT> and drag it into the right window of UMDGenand overwrite then wait and save it 2wherever u want then put it in ur psp's iso folder and it'll work *AS LONG AS U R RUNNIN 5.50 GEN-A-B-B2 ;D


I made a mistake in between after running the decryptor in GAME the edit is that *after u run it it makes a folder in the <ROOT> called "DECRYPTOR" plug in ur psp and take the EBOOT.BIN out of it and drag it to umdgen *the encrypted EBOOT is the 1 in the "DECRYPTOR" folder in MEMstick <ROOT>

 

i am not sure if it is us or euro version and i got the eboot from inside the decryptor folder that was created on my ms. i have used the process for other games like obscured and il sturmovik and it works fine so i dont think it is the process i am doing. mayby it is the region i dont know. if you have tried it and it worked it must be my iso.

 

o no i no u guys r all talking bout GT but i was thinkin 2 myself wen i sed i got it 2 work. i got motorstorm AE working and im running on 5.00 m33-6.

i also patchd DIRT 2 and GT but i hate GEN[brickd b4] so im a lil hesitant 2 upgrade id rather play my games than bump up 4 2 racing games i think ill wait 4 LBP PSP and ASSASSINS CREED BLOODLINES

 

Ok guys, since creating this topic/post 3 days ago, I've since learned and figured out and also fully understand on how this whole thing works...
Thanks to everyone who's posted in this forum and being so helpful, I've learned so much about PSP firmwares and how to encrypt game files using UMDGen to extract the Eboot.bin.
I have already gotten my GT to work, then FIFA 10, Artic Edge Motorstorm and iL2 Birds of Prey!!!! Its awesome!!!!
Now I can start to DL all the new games from the site I use with no worries...

I'm using firmware 5.50Gen-B2 atm, and b4 updating to this version, I was using firmware 5.00 M33-6 and I was SO worried that my cso/iso files wouldnt work with the new Gen-A to Gen-B2 updates, but I was wrong, coz all my old cso/iso works just fine and most importantly, all the new games work which M33-6 didn't b4!!!
I did a network update today on my new FW5.50 GenB2, and there was a new version FW which wasn't available to me while I was using FW5.00 M33-6, so I downloaded it and realised it was firmware 6.02.
I think this is the firmware everyone's talking about that SONY has released which prevents u from playing cso/iso, so I didn't update to this version on my PSP.
Coz I've read in other forums that most ppls who updated to above FW 6.00 without checking, has bricked their PSPs~~ LMFAO!!!
So I'd advice anyone or everyone looking to play iso/cso on their PSPs, ONLY use FW 5.50Gen-B2 for new games or 5.00 M33-6 for older games.
DON"T UPDATE TO ANYTHING ABOVE 6.00!!!!!!
I guess I'm just one of the lucky ones or smarter ones becoz I'm one of those ppls who always do some research b4 I actually buy anything and always make sure what I'm getting myself into... this has saved me from bricking my PSP!!!!!
*Just some advice from a beginner!!! I'm new to this hacking PSP scene and with a little research, I now save so much money and will never buy an UMD or an original PSP game ever again~~ LOL!!!

you cant mention anything to do with piracy(as the site could be shut down) im not a mod this was just my post, i woud remove the links to the piracy websites as everyone here knows how to find them, as mods if they want to can ban you from the site.

i upgraded my fw ages ago but that was a straight upgrade to 4.01 M33 from the previous one down, so it was easy np. ive been due an upgrade for months.

i need to get up to 5.5 for FIFA - the only game i ever play - now 10 is out.
i just wanted to check i'm not going to brick my psp before i go for the 5.50 GEN-A, GEN-B, 5.50 GEN-B2 updates as on the previous page. if i download and apply them in order, inc the bug fixes i'll be running sweet 5.5 action at the end, np?

Hi, i got a psp-2003, with 5.03 M33 at home try to play fifa and obviously it require 5.55 or 6, but i try decrepting. for some strange reason i couldn't get into recovery mode; fully switching off and holding 'R' and swiching on nothing happening. i am using Chicken Hack! so i believe i am using CFW, but when i switch it fully off, it turn into Version 5.03 (with CFW)! any help would greatly appriciated!

 

I think that you are not actually using CFW, sounds like you have OF with the HEN hack, you need to go the pandora route and install full CFW to play your backups from memory stick.
